Cyclone Yasi Aftermath

Category 5, Tropical Cyclone Yasi made landfall between Innisfail and Cardwell in Far North Queensland in the early hours of February 3, 2011. While sufficient warning and procedure saw only one human fatality, the cost to infrastructure, agriculture and property was enormous and estimated to have cost a total of $AU3.5 billion. This series documents the aftermaths of Yasi – the devastated landscapes and destroyed homes of the worst hit areas such as Cardwell, Tully Heads and Innisfail.
