Parkour

Le Parkour originally comes from the word ‘parcour’, loosely translated as ‘obstacle course’. In essence, ‘obstacle course’ sums up the ideas behind the movement that originated in France – traceurs (the people who participate in the parkour) treat city landscapes as one big playground, utilizing the architecture in a way that is both as stylish and graceful as possible. This is the documentation of a group of teenagers who use the urban landscape as their personal playground and in the process, carve new ways of moving through out the streets of Sydney.
