Sydney Parkour
Le Parkour originally comes from the word 'parcour', loosely translated as 'obstacle course'. The 'K' came in later as a more modern and stylish approach to the word. In essence, 'obstacle course' sums up the ideas behind the sport that originated in France - traceurs (the people who participate in the sport) treat city landscapes as one big playground, utilizing the architecture in a way that is both as stylish and graceful as possible. This is an ongoing project documenting the life of a Sydney group of teenagers who use the urban landscape as their playground.
